There are different types of inheritance: economic, real estate and…moral.
The first ones tend to be inherited more easily, but there is a whole world made up of our history, our memories, our reflections and often also of unsaid things that vanish with us leaving a void in the people we love.

Loss is one of the most difficult human experiences to go through, and coping with it has only become more complex in a digital age of preservation; fragments of people forever crystalised in Whatsapp chats, Instagram images, final Tweets and Facebook’s memories feature.

Dear Future is a mobile app through which we can record our thoughts, experiences, reflections and memories as a legacy for the people we love. The notes of our journey on earth.

With the help of a team of psychologists we will generate questions for the users to answer and that can be fundamental for those who will survive us. Those will only be available as suggestions, but the user will always be free to fill the app with his own specific content or what they think it's really important to them.

The application will also give users the ability to insert their favorite music, photos and backgrounds.
Unlike a dusty diary or dormant Facebook profile, it’s a method of archiving a part of ourselves or those we love, that can actually be brought back to life in a meaningful way.

The application will also give the option, for those users who want it, to allow GenAI based content that come out from the data the person has provided. This option should work as a grief reliever for those people who need to take more time to elaborate their loss.

This technology also isn’t limited to grief and loss. It could potentially be used in the present moment, purely to document personal thoughts or to communicate difficult conversations and secrets.
